Minetest is a Minecraft-like game that is freely available to the public. There is already a Homebrew formula available. I think MacPorts should have one too.

It's already in MacPorts. I added it a couple of years ago. 

sudo port install minetest

should get it for you.

Looks like I have to fix it for 10.6.8 and less again though <​https://ports.macports.org/port/minetest/summary>
