Hi,

I don't have much to add, but I am available to debug this further with more instructions. I update MacPorts and ports (port upgrade outdated) quite often, and starting today the upgrade command segfaults with the following messages: 

user ~ % sudo port upgrade outdated
Password:
Nothing to upgrade.
--->  Scanning binaries for linking errors
zsh: segmentation fault  sudo port upgrade outdated

That is a first I have to admit.

Summary: Running "port upgrade outdated" segfaults → rev-upgrade segfaults

Can you provide the crash log? What OS version is this on? Most likely a duplicate of #61540 but that can't be verified without more information.
