Description

When I run upgrade outdated I get the error 'zsh: killed port upg outdated' showing up once macports is 80-90% of the way through 'Scanning binaries for linking errors'. Big Sur v11.4

Please attach any crash report that was generated. You can view crash reports in Console and use the "Reveal in Finder" menu item to get at the actual file.

The previous segfault-during-rev-upgrade ticket was #61540 but this crash log looks different.

What's your Xcode version?

XCode 12.5.1. Additionally, I updated to MacOS 11.5 yesterday and still see the problem...

Might you rerun rev-upgrade with the debug flag? sudo port -d rev-upgrade Then we might see what it was doing when it crashed.

Well, I would but I decided to uninstall some none critical ports and reinstall them as I have another issue that Apache will just stop responding, and I have to restart. Once I got down to only Apache, MySQL, phpMyAdmin I did not have the error any more. I have since added back three of five packages I uninstalled and still have no issue. So, I can't replicate now. Thinking back I uninstalled imagick and all its dependencies (their are a lot) and when I reinstalled it worked fine...
