macos12: gtk3-demo-application just shows black frame

after upgrading from macos11 to macos12 gtk3-demo-application built with recent macports using Xcode13 commandline tools and sdk 12 (as well als built with Xcode 12.5 and sdk 11.3) just shows a black frame.
used additional setting in /opt/local/etc/macports/variants.conf: +no_gnome +no_x11 +quartz -x11 -gnome -gfortran

Build with xcode12 and sdk 10.15 is fine.
