Upstream has released 4.9.0. Investigate potential issues and/or breaking changes first, though.
Also proactively collaborate with our PPC users, to ensure that it works everywhere [before officially updating the port]. Ditto for trying to resolve existing open issues, during that process.

Updated all dependents of findutils to utilize a path-style dependency, so that findutils-devel can serve as a drop-in replacement:

In terms of overall progress: Still need to resolve some build issues with version 4.8.0, before updating findutils-devel. Hoping to tackle that over the coming days.

Apparently version 4.9 has been released:

...although the NEWS file weirdly says the release happened on 2022-02-22 -- which is currently 11 days in the future?!?
