New M2 Macbook Air. Upgraded to Ventura 13.0.1 and installed MacPorts.

Failing to install gtk2.

# sudo port install gtk2

Sorry for the extended delay on this, I was away for five months.

In short, this occurs when there's a mismatch between glib2 and gtk2. Specifically, it looks like you may have glib2 +quartz installed.

So you need to install gtk2 +quartz as well.
