pango @1.50.7 has a problem with gi-docgen and Python on PPC Leopard, Mac OS X 10.5.8

Reported by: ballapete (Peter "Pete" Dyballa) Owned by:
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.8.0
Keywords: leopard ppc Cc: ryandesign@…, mascguy@…, ShadSterling (Shad Sterling)
Port: pango

Description

Dependency sysprof-capture-4 skipped: feature sysprof disabled
Run-time dependency gi-docgen found: NO (tried pkgconfig, framework and cmake)
Looking for a fallback subproject for the dependency gi-docgen

Executing subproject gi-docgen

gi-docgen| Project name: gi-docgen
gi-docgen| Project version: 2022.2

gi-docgen| subprojects/gi-docgen/meson.build:10:0: Exception: <PythonExternalProgram 'python' -> ['/usr/bin/python']> is not a valid python or it is missing distutils

Subproject subprojects/gi-docgen is buildable: NO (disabling)
Dependency gi-docgen from subproject gi-docgen found: NO (subproject failed to configure)
Configuring config.h using configuration

An up-to-date version of gi-docgen is installed: gi-docgen @2022.2_0 (active) requested_variants='' platform='darwin 9' archs='noarch' date='2022-12-02T18:25:18+0100'. Why does it fail to detect that? And why is ancient Apple Python 2.5.1 used to try building gi-docgen?

Nevertheless pango built and was installed: pango @1.50.7_0+quartz+x11 (active) requested_variants='' platform='darwin 9' archs='ppc' date='2022-12-15T11:25:49+0100'.
