/opt/local/etc/pear.conf.sample does not exit

After trying to install php5 I received the following instructions:

"If this is your first install, you might want
* copy  /opt/local/etc/pear.conf.sample to  /opt/local/etc/pear.conf"

However, /opt/local/etc/pear.conf.sample does not exist there.
