pingus is trying to fetch xdg as an external repository from gitlab, but the pingus project isn't on gitlab anymore; it moved back to github. Also, they are no longer using xdg, so there is no copy of xdg in the pingus organization on github that we could use instead. We could update the port to the newer commit that doesn't use xdg anymore.
