    1 ah, NumPy uses its vendored version of `meson` which -of course- doesn't contain the fix for `-no_weak_imports` ; that was fixed in [https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/commit/ee2e8578565ef209bb4f266f0e67001540ad5721 this commit] and according the build now succeeds on 10.6_x86_64.
