Description
GCC 16 was released on 2026-04-22, so there should probably be a port gcc16. The port gcc-devel now refers to GCC 17. Cf. https://gcc.gnu.org.

Homebrew just deleted their Intel architecture bottles (binaries) for gcc16 : https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/gcc
It would be really nice to have a MacPort for gcc16, as this is the current compiler release and many people still have Intel Mac hardware.
