Description
[changeset:876a8140b67ed8043a2031470d9d9df911d1a80f/macports-ports commit 876a814] broke the ability for py-matplotlib to build py310-matplotlib because the PortFile still lists "python.versions 310 ..." while having been bumped to upstream version 3.11.0. https://pypi.org/project/matplotlib/3.11.0/ says matplotlib now requires python 3.11. probably the previous version of py-matplotlib was fine because it pulled upstream 3.10.9 which requires python >=3.10.
I was able to fix the issue by back-installing py310-matplotlib from py-matplotlib 3.10.9. I don't know enough about PortFiles to fix the current port without removing python.versions=310 which is not an option since it is depended upon by just about every SDR-related software in MacPorts (software-defined radio). Maybe split into a real py310-matplotlib port separate from py-matplotlib ?

I just finished rebuilding gqrx and gnss-sdr that depend on gnuradio that depends on py310-matplotlib -> rebuild successful with py310-matplotlib downgraded to 3.10.9 and a patch to libtecla (will open a ticket right away).
I don't know enough to decide whether to split py310-matplotlib away from py-matplotlib or if it should remain a single PortFile that can do different concrete versions. Are you taking care of the matter or can I be of assistance?

sorry, my bad… I certainly did not intend to break this when updating… will fix tonight.
