Description

I finalize my PostgreSQL package. <http://homepage.mac.com/aqua_dabbler/dports/postgresql.tgz> It's obviously up to the maintainer how to use it, but the current package has a serious bug in the handling of multibyte encodings. Databases which are made with it's initdb cannot convert encodings even in the bug-fixed one. I really wish to fix this encoding problem soon at least.

Changes from the current package -Version becomes 7.3.4. -Add build rules for shared objects which should be bundles. -Add build rules to produce libraries which have no version numbers. It is necessary for some applications like PgAccess. -Delete ${prefix}/etc/pgsql/postgresql.conf which is not actually in use. -Fix pgsql.sh to write a log file when restarting. -Parameterize stop/restart modes of pgsql.sh. -Add variants tcltk, perl, java and ssl.
