Confirmed on 10.4.6 on a Macbook. I'm unable to run "sudo port clean all" because of this, and can't recover from a failed install properly (of course I'm also a bit of a newbie...).

Ditto on sudo port install avr-gcc, sudo port install avrdude. Frustrating.

Thi will be fixed when darwinports 1.3.1 is released, probably tomorrow. In the interim, you may simply edit the portfile to remove the offending lines.
