MacPorts has now switched to git, and the `users` directory is no longer used. Users can now simply use their own GitHub account to host repositories. Existing user subdirectories have been migrated to git repositories named [https://github.com/macports?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=macports-user- macports-user-<name>] where `<name>` is the subdirectory name from svn. Owners are encouraged to move these repositories to their personal GitHub account by forking and then requesting the deletion of the copy in the MacPorts organisation.
