Description

When trying to install py-numpy, I was surprised to see that gcc was being downloaded and compiled as a dependency.

I then looked at "fftw-3" (which numpy depends on) and saw that the "fortran" variant was enabled by default... which I consider a bad idea, as it considerably slows down the build, and is confusing unless you are experienced.
