Description
While connected to an airport network starting a packet capture with WireShark on any interface causes the Airport interface to unexpectedly disconnect. This happens with at least version 0.99.4_1+darwin_8.
This does not happen with the tcpdump that ships with Mac OS X.

I committed a fix to libpcap yesterday (from nightly libpcap sources), please test with that fix (libpcap @0.9.5_1). Note that this is expected to fix capturing only. If you list interfaces with the 'Capture Interfaces' menu item, you will lose connectivity (wireshark folks indicate they're working on this). 'tcpdump -D' will do the same. I had an opportunity to use wireshark via a wireless network yesterday, worked just fine. No problems, using 10.5.2 (x86), libpcap 0.9.8, and wireshark 1.0.0. Closing ticket.
This bug is actually related to libpcap, not Wireshark. When using tcpdump supplied with OS X everything works fine. If I install tcpdump through MacPorts I get the same disconnecting behavior.
