I think pretty much everything is there. But there is a lot I have not tested as I don't really have a big gnome setup installed.

I'll also add CC other maintainers involved

OK

So here is another set of ports that will be affected, because many python ports, such as gtk can't co-exist as py24 and py25 version

gazpacho gnome-bindings-python kiwi avahi xpn kedpm smart meld

The gnome-doc-utils update to python25 made it explode, see #12569

  • status changed from new to assigned

The only ports that still use py-gtk2 are:

kedpm meld smart xpn

I have emailed the maintainers.

Changed 3 years ago by afb@…

Have updated half a dozen requirements, left to do is actually upgrading Yum and RPM from python24 to python25 (since rpm is required by smart, it all needs to be updated at once)

Changed 2 years ago by pmq@…

Committed in r29578 the new kedpm port that doesn't depend on py-gtk2 anymore.

Changed 2 years ago by rhwood@…

  • status changed from assigned to closed
  • resolution set to fixed

I think that except for future GNOME ports which get python introduced as a dependency upstream, this task is done.
