Description

The install section should mention that you need "10.4" for Mac OS X 10.4, and not just grab the first file on the page...

  1. Download the latest MacPorts .dmg disk image from the MacPorts download directory.

for Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther", download: MacPorts-1.5.0-10.3.dmg

for Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger", download: MacPorts-1.5.0-10.4.dmg

  1. Run the binary installer.

This also goes for Xcode versions, apparently.

"Run the binary installer." isn't enough... :-P
