Ticket #13189 (closed defect: invalid)
Port "mc" seems broken if LANG is set to Greek (el_GR.UTF-8) and possibly other languages

Description
Internationalization seems to break the mc screen. More specific, I have set my LANG to el_GR.UTF-8 and the lines look broken because the date does not appear correctly. Instead of the Greek first letter in the month field, an escape character appears "~]" and that, as a result, breaks the lines of mc. mc port is installed using the system default settings.

Please test if 4.7.0 still has this problem. If it does, please report this problem to the developers of mc, as it's unlikely to be a MacPorts-specific issue.

Problem is solved by upgrading to 4.7.0. It was probably a Mac specific issue as *BSDs or other *nix systems didn't seem to have that problem with LANG.
