Description
Updated Tiger to Leopard, trashed /opt, installed 1.5 from DMG, tried selfupdate: fails. Output attached. Installing and using ports works fine.

If you install Thread 2.6.5 instead of the bundled version from MacPorts, does that work better with Tcl 8.5 ?

I have Tcl 8.5? Ah, I dimly remember a horrible night getting some SQL GUI to work... Sorry, will try to get rid of it. Shoulda done a clean install instead of Leopard update, but so much work... The source you linked won"t compile, either.

OK, so now we know that Thread (and thus MacPorts) doesn't work with Tcl 8.5 (yet).

Hmm, where does your Tcl 8.5 installation come from ? (by default it is using 8.4)
