While installing gnucash in a clean install of macports 1.6.0 this error was notices.

Warning: violation by /opt/local/man Warning: evince violates the layout of the ports-filesystems! Warning: Please fix or indicate this misbehavior (if it is intended), it will be an error in future releases!

That should fix it, but I don't particularly feel like installing all of evince's dependencies to check.

Thanks for the effort it is very much appreciated. i have however switched to fink. gnucash2 installed and ran out of the box. thanks again
