I'm not able to get the Portfile patch to run without errors.

To be more clear. I am not able to apply the patch:

Sorry about that, I based the patch on my copy of the Portfile instead of the version that made it into the macports project. I've updated the Portfile patch.

ok, the patch loads fine now, but I am not able to fetch it. I went to the home page and noticed the latest version is 20090107.

$ port fetch mg

You still need to add the files/patch-compile.diff file to the macports tree. There wasn't one initially so it needs to be added to the tree.

Obviously I must have done something wrong in submitting this update, so how should I have done it?
