Reported by: marco.comini@… Owned by: snc@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 1.7.0
Keywords: texshop ppc 10.4 sparkle Cc: waqar@…
Port: texshop

Description

I cannot build TexShop on a MacOS 10.4 PPC G4 PowerBook.

This is the last excerpt from the build transcript.

I don't know it the output of otool -f for Sparkle.framework/Versions/A/Sparkle can be useful

I'm not sure how you got this far, as TeXShop's checksums don't currently match.

Replying to jmr@…:

I'm not sure how you got this far, as TeXShop's checksums don't currently match.

I update ports daily and got the texshop sources some days ago (19 Mar). [Actually that day on my MacPro I built 2.26 successfully]

I didn't report the error immediatley because usually I keep on trying some days before reporting errors, as frequently they are fixed soon.

This should explain how I got this far... anyway, does also mean that my report is useless as in a while sources will change?

I've cleaned up everything (deleted build dir & sources) and tried from scratch. It validates checksums and gets again to the same error.

I'll try to replicate but I only have a 10.5 PPC box.

Here's how fink fixed it. You should be able to do the same for normal building, though for +universal you only want to remove x86_64 (and only on Tiger).
