Description
mplayer-devel installs man pages in /opt/local/share/doc/mplayer-devel/man/en/mplayer.1 instead of the usual location within /opt/local/share/man (used version: @29365_0+binary_codecs+darwin_i386+faac+macosx+man_all_lang+osd+theora+x264+xvid)
As a result, "man mplayer" returns an error (no such entry).

The english manpage is now forced installed by default. I don't know a good way to select the proper primary locale. It corrects the problem you are experiencing but not in a clean way.
