Problem installing gtk2 python26 py26-gtk on 10.6.2 Snow Leopard

I really would like to be helped on this thread, that i really tried to install gtk2, python26 and py26-gtk.

Every time that I try to install python26 I get this error:

Error: Target org.macports.build returned: shell command failed

And gtk2 and py26-gtk more errors.

Is MacPorts compatible with 10.6.2 OS?

It looks like you are having a problem installing tk. But we need more information to determine the problem. It would be helpful if you attached the log file mentioned in the output you posted.

Macports is fully compatible with Mac OS 10.6.2.

I have installed the MacPorts when I'm already on Snow Leopard, and the X11 the same situation as well.

I am trying to install with +no_x11 +quartz, so I inserted on variants.conf.
