Description
As 1.12.0 is more than 1 year old and in fact ticket:23437 is NOT invalid (i've got the same error while trying to install vxl) I suggest that the port be updated.
I've attached the diff file for the Portfile.

Thanks; updated in r67064. I also added dependencies on libraries I had installed that got used, including ffmpeg-devel, libgeotiff and libpng, and I had to disable the universal variant because ffmpeg-devel is not universal.
