Error with xz-devel versus xz when installing wine-devel I have installed xz and it fixed the bug My installation of MacPorts on OS 10.4 intel is fresh from today !

I can't find any portfile that mentions xz-devel except for the two that conflict with it. Are you sure you're running MacPorts 1.9.2?

Actually, I'm sure you're not. 1.9.2 says "The following dependencies were not installed:" while your output has "The following dependencies failed to build:", which is what 1.9.1 and earlier say. You need to selfupdate.
