Get an error when 'port install mesa': 

--->  Computing dependencies for mesa
--->  Building mesa
Error: Target org.macports.build returned: shell command failed (see log for details)
Log for mesa is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_x11_mesa/main.log
Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.

You may want to attach a complete main.log -- one that does not contain lines saying "skipping". To create this, clean the port and try again. 

sudo port clean mesa
sudo port install mesa
