Current version of libmemcached is 1.0.2. Maybe updating would fix build failures with clang; see #31790.
Probably wise to upgrade memcached to latest stable version first; see #32199.
Andrew, did you get permission from Brett to add openmaintainer to the port?
We don't want a cumulative patch; in particular, we always want to commit whitespace changes and reformatting separately from functional changes, so that it's easier to discern the functional changes when looking at the diff.

No, but all previous tickets, assigned to Brett, were committed due permanent maintainer timeout. So I just added openmaintainer to speed up upgrade process, without 3-day timeouts.
