Description

I installed bkchem0.12.5_0. The installation was successful as it was prompted. But, when I type the command in terminal, it says that the command not found, implying bkchem was not installed.

The bkchem port does not install a program named "bkchem" (or any other program, for that matter). "port contents bkchem" shows you what it does install

I'm not familiar with the bkchem software, so if you're unsure how to use it, you should read the documentation, and if that doesn't help, contact the developers of bkchem.

I was able to get something by running "python25 /opt/local/lib/python2.5/site-packages/bkchem/bkchem.py". Does that look like what you want? If so, perhaps we should be installing a wrapper script at /opt/local/bin/bkchem that does that.

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed

Should be fixed with r84189 (which also updates it to use python 2.7).
