hdfeos configure failure due to HDF4 SZIP/--with-szlib issue

Description

Attempts to install py26/7-nio and pg26-ngl are failing during configure of hdfeos. Specifically, configure fails during checking of HDF4 with message

:info:configure configure: error: HDF4 was linked without SZIP, but --with-szlib was given

Log file for configuration of hdfeos is attached.

I fixed hdfeos in r94770. See also #35011. I used to maintain py26-nio and py26-ngl, but I no longer own them. Let me know if you succeed in building them.
