I committed your patch in r94836 with some changes.

I removed the revision line. The revision should drop to zero when the version is increased.

I omitted this portion of your patch: 

	# base (as of 2.0.3) doesn't set cxx for apple-gcc-4.2
	configure.cxx ${prefix}/bin/g++-apple-4.2

That bug was fixed in MacPorts 2.0.4; the current version of MacPorts is 2.1.1 and we do not support using old versions of MacPorts.
