Description

This is supposed to be the first submission of a series of related ports. It is the core component of ObsPy.

Please provide feedback on this, so that I can proceed with submission of the other ones.

The port were tested on Mac OS X 10.5.8, against python26 and seems to work fine.

Description: ObsPy is an open-source project dedicated to provide a Python framework for processing seismological data. It provides parsers for common file formats and seismological signal processing routines which allow the manipulation of seismological time series. The goal of the ObsPy project is to facilitate rapid application development for seismology.

Added in r97743 with changes:

  • Added distribute dependency
  • Marked as noarch
  • Changed description to indicate what the software actually does
  • Reduced verbosity of long_description so 'port info' fits in a standard terminal window

This port is obsolete and can be deleted.

The original package changes structure, therefore only a simple port will be needed and was submitted under #37334.
