libsdl-devel 1.3.0 fails to build on Mountain Lion

sudo port install libsdl-devel gives the following error message:
Snowball:Library Alex$ sudo port install libsdl-devel ---> Building libsdl-devel Error: org.macports.build for port libsdl-devel returned: command execution failed
This seems to be, however, not a problem directly related to the port but to the new OS X and the Carbon Core API.
I have attached the logfile.

I've tried to install the +universal variant that breaks with the same error. The log file does reveal more information and hints at deprecated functions that were first marked as deprecated in 10.8. I've attached this log as well. (main_universal.log).

The original log was not complete (contained lines that say "Skipping completed") because you had not cleaned beforehand. So thank you for cleaning and trying again and attaching the new log with the universal variant.

Same error here. Trying to install libsdl-devl for ibniz : http://pelulamu.net/ibniz/ Seems this bug is not about to be fixed, no activity since 7 months. Hope somebody will save us :)
