Description
Tested on Lion. The patch file no longer seems to be required and the homepage now contains separate downloads for 10.6 and 10.5 but I don't know how to work these into the port.

The separate Mac (and Linux and Windows) downloads are binaries. We don't use binary distfiles; we use source distfiles, of which there is only one.

I know we use source distfiles but I noticed that the builds were for < 10.7, which seems to work with the patch.
Everything seems to work fine. My biggest gripe would be having cwebp and dwebp but no webp -c or webp -d aliases. But I guess that's for upstream.
