Please find attached an updated Portfile (Portfile-splash.diff) for splash v2.4.0 (previous stable release was 2.3.1).
Please check/commit.

Have updated the Portfile to follow the Fortran recipe
Variants are gcc45,gcc46,gcc47 and gcc48 - gcc44 and g95 are too old to compile splash
Have checked that all of these work locally, all seems fine to me.
