Hi,

I'm trying to install oracle-instantclient using the currently available port (11.2.0.4.0), but the install fails when attempting to fetch the distfiles. It appears that the .zip URLs specified are all 404 Not Found, and when manually browsing those sites it looks like the directories are all empty on the various servers? Via r119095 I see that this port was updated about a week ago, which might be a clue. This port is a dependency of php54-oracle, which is failing for me now because this new Oracle instant client build isn't installing...

I've attached a copy of my error log, but I'm happy to send along any other troubleshooting info that would be useful!

Other information that might be relevant:

  • My system is running OS X 10.9.2 (64-bit)
  • Xcode Version 5.1.1 (5B1008)
  • MacPorts 2.2.1
  • I've tried running port clean and port clean --all, but no change.
  • I've previously been successful installing the older 11.2.0.3.0 port, for what that's worth.

Will definitely CC the maintainers in the future, just missed that step. Thanks for assigning it.

Also I bungled the TRAC markup for the reference to the changeset: I meant r119095 not a (non-existant) ticket number.

You have to download the distfiles manually; Oracle does not make the files available for automated download.

I had meant for the port to detect this condition and print instructions, but that appears to have broken. I'll investigate.
