This port uses a bundled copy of Devel::Checklib instead of the system version and that copy has been updated to version 0.99 in this version. After running Makefile.PL in the debugger it looks like this new version is broken. It fails to find expat, even though it is installed. Previous version (0.93) works fine.

Current port version is useable and effects many ports since it is a dependency of intltool.

Probably would be sensible to hold off on an upgrade or at least proceed cautiously until this problem is worked out.

I added a reminder in r129983 to prevent people from trying to update that port.

Summary: p5-xml-parser 2.43 → p5-xml-parser: update to version 2.44

Attached is a patch to update p5-xml-parser to newly released version 2.44. This version builds cleanly without any of the problems associated with 2.43 and all tests are successful.

Please advise whether or not you agree this is ready to commit.
