BUG: Xft2 won't build

Can you attach the config.log for this; I'm curious if Xft2 is thinking it can use FT_GlyphSlot_Embolden() since (according to ftsynth.h) it is alpha/experimental.

Disabling the define for _FT_GlyphSlot_Embolden in config.h allows it to build. Not sure why the configure script incorrectly marked it as available, though....

This problem seems to be stemming from a strange PATH issue. In Scott's config.log, the PATH has / usr/X11R6/bin at the front of the PATH (six times no less); another who's run into this had it three times.

The problem is that I have absolutely no idea what's causing the PATH to build up like this (an issue I've queried about on the mailing list, <​http://www.opendarwin.org/pipermail/darwinports/2006-January/ 031408.html> but no responses as yet).

The PATH being set like this would also explain the issue in bug 5434 as, when X11's bin is first, that freetype-config is being used instead of DP's and it seems Apple's freetype has this GlyphSlot_Embolden enabled.
