phpMyAdmin 2.6.4-pl1 fails to load "missing mysql.so"

Description

I successfully ported to OS X 10.4 Apache2 PHP5 MySQL5. All of them function seperately. PHP5 plays nice with Apache2. But when I installed phpMyAdmin (not from darwinports) it complained that there was no mysql.so. I looked every where and no go. How does this get installed?

Have you tried installing the phpMyAdmin from Darwinports yet just to see if it will work?

Sorry not as smart as everyone else. Tried that, but everything I tried either tried to install apache 1.3 and php4.

and

php4.

Since you want it with Apache 2 and PHP5, you'll need to specify variants for phpmyadmin:

sudo port install phpmyadmin +apache2 +php5

However, I see there's no mysql5 variant for phpmyadmin; Joe?

phpMyAdmin is now at 2.8.0.2 and also has a php5 variant so I'm closing this. If there is still a problem it may be reopened.
