#55282 closed enhancement (fixed)

Lack of Xcode 9 update not detected with High Sierra OS.

Description

If Xcode version less than 9 is installed then macports should detect this and stop with error message. I thought I had performed the Xcode update on one of my Macs. ffmpeg fails to configure. I spent a lot of time tracking down why. FYI: Home-brew found this.

Does port diagnose already handle this?

comment:4 Changed 7 years ago by raimue (Rainer Müller)

Yes, port diagnose should detect this. It uses xcode_versions.ini from the ports tree.
