Description (last modified by jmpp@…)

Several packages I've tried to install segfault when staging into destroot. Notably tiff and cmake. The end of the output from cmake is:

-- Installing /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_devel_cmake/work/destroot/opt/local/share/man/man1/ccmake.1

Segmentation fault

I'm currently getting output like:

sudo port install tiff ---> Staging zlib into destroot tclsh(5479) malloc: * error for object 0x312050: double free tclsh(5479) malloc: * set a breakpoint in szone_error to debug tclsh(5479) malloc: * error for object 0x312050: double free tclsh(5479) malloc: * set a breakpoint in szone_error to debug tclsh(5479) malloc: * error for object 0x312050: double free tclsh(5479) malloc: * set a breakpoint in szone_error to debug ---> Installing zlib 1.2.3_1 tclsh(5479) malloc: * error for object 0x312910: double free tclsh(5479) malloc: * set a breakpoint in szone_error to debug Segmentation fault

I've tried using a different tclsh, but no change - perhaps port has its own built-in version?

Milestone: MacPorts base bugs

Can you please provide more information about the problem you're experiencing? Are you still seeing it? What platform are you on? What version of Tcl are you using (any other than the one provided by the stock OS)? Do you have any third party software under /usr/local? Fink?
