xfig doesn't work — at Initial Version

Description

I'm using leopard on ppc.

I can build it okay, and run it, but then when I try to open a menu it crashes. Also, I can't upgrade or patch it. Bug #13085 reports a patch, but I don't know what to do with that (I tried the stuff outlined in the documentation), but couldn't get it rebuild. Here is my error log:
