    initial v8  
    1 The attached patch adds livechecks for all octave-* packages, and should help keep them up to date (most of them are currently outdated, I'll submit upgrades after this is checked in).
     1The octave-* packages are all outdated and unable to perform livechecks.

     3They need to be updated using the scripts initially developed by Andrea D'Amore, and livecheck support needs to be added to these.
