Line 53 of tomcatctl is referencing a tomcat5.pid when it should reference tomcat6.pid. This is preventing the service from stopping when using launchctl.
The correct line should read
[ -z "$TOMCAT_PIDNAME" ] && TOMCAT_PIDNAME="tomcat6.pid"
