Please remember to use WikiFormatting, to fill in the Port field and Summary line relevant to the port that actually failed (freetype in this case) (not the port that you ultimately wanted to install), and to Cc that port's maintainer (that's me in this case).
Please clean the port and try again:
sudo port clean freetype
sudo port install freetype
If it fails again, immediately attach (not paste) the main.log; the log you copied above was obviously done after the port had already failed once and you tried again without cleaning.
