    1 For some reason gcc46 needs gcc47, so I copied the lines in  r96428 from the gcc46 portfile to a similar location in the gcc47 portfile and it looks like that fixed it.
     1For some reason gcc46 needs gcc47, so I copied the lines in  r96428 from the gcc46 portfile to a similar location in the gcc47 portfile and it looks like that fixed it.  And to reiterate: sudo port install gcc46 configure.compiler=apple-gcc-4.2  did not work for me.
