(The output pasted into the ticket above is not from a clean run; it has lines saying "Skipping completed"; we need to see the output of all phases, including those that were skipped above.)
If cleaning and trying again resolves it then I'd call this a duplicate of #29223 but if you get the same error about the missing source directory after cleaning, then I'd suspect a problem with your operating system's gzip, bzip2 or tar commands.
