MacPorts 2.1.1 on Mac OS 10.6.8 with Xcode 3.2.6 (MacBook6,1)

Steps to reproduce: 

# port install pear-Archive_Tar

Expected result:
installed successfully

Actual result: 

--->  Computing dependencies for pear-Archive_Tar
--->  Configuring pear-Archive_Tar
Error: org.macports.configure for port pear-Archive_Tar returned: command execution failed

This was not a clean attempt. Please "sudo port clean pear-Archive_Tar", then try again, then attach the new main.log file. Also let us know which php port you have installed.
